We recently came across a wedding detail shared by creator Rachel Chaudhry, and it captures exactly why we love personalised embroidery so much.
A Love Note, Years in the Making
Rachel shared an old photograph of herself and her now-husband, Zack, from when they were dating in high school.
In the photo, a handwritten message is scrawled across the back of Zack’s neck:
“IF LOST RETURN TO RACHEL”
Years later, when planning their wedding, Rachel rediscovered the photograph and knew exactly what she wanted to do with it.
She had the words recreated in delicate red embroidery across the back of Zack’s white wedding shirt, just beneath the collar.
If lost, return to Rachel.
The same sentiment. The same two people. Just years later, on their wedding day.
It’s playful and understated, but knowing the story behind it completely changes the detail.
The Kind of Personalisation We Love
Personalisation doesn’t always need to mean a surname, wedding date or traditional monogram.
Sometimes the best inspiration is already sitting in your camera roll.
An old photograph. A handwritten note. An inside joke. A nickname only the two of you use. Something your partner once wrote on a birthday card. A phrase from the beginning of your relationship that somehow followed you all the way to your wedding day.
Those tiny pieces of a relationship can become some of the most meaningful details of the day.

Look Back Before You Look for Inspiration
When planning a wedding, it’s easy to immediately turn to Pinterest, Instagram or TikTok for ideas.
But before you do, look backwards.
Scroll through the photos from when you first met. Read old cards. Think about the places you always return to, the ridiculous things you say to each other, the songs you played constantly, or the little traditions that wouldn’t mean anything to anybody else.
Your relationship already has its own visual language.
Those details can inspire embroidery on a groom’s shirt, bridal robe, veil, handkerchief, napkins, bridesmaid pieces, getting-ready outfits or something completely unexpected.
The result doesn’t have to make sense to everyone.
In fact, sometimes it’s better when it doesn’t.
